The deadline for international students that would like to apply for the scholarship is December 1st, of every year. Decisions are taken in February of each year.

Proof of Language Proficiency: In the case of applicants whose first language is neither English nor French, one of the following is required:
TOEFL 550 / IELTS Overall 6.5 - Individual 5.0 (Paper-based)
TOEFL 79-80 / IELTS Overall 6.5 - Individual 5.0 (Internet-based)

- Letter of intent outlining your career goals and proposed research area.
- We recommend that you contact potential thesis supervisors early. To register, you need to be accepted by a thesis supervisor.
- International students must show proof of funding in the form of a supervisor stipend and a combination of scholarships and/or in-trust accounts.
- A good knowledge of either English or French and good ability to write in English is required.
